A portion of the proceeds from the sale of every book (title to be determined), to be released in August, 2012, will be donated to the Columbus Historical Society. The Columbus Historical Society protects and shares the history of the Central Ohio community. Their exhibit and offices, located inside of the COSI facility at 333 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215, provides insight into the culture and history of Columbus, Ohio at no charge to its guests.
We’re proud to support such a fine organization, and it seemed like a natural fit for this project, given that a large portion of the short stories included in this anthology will be historical fiction. We’re pleased that the Columbus Historical Society has graciously accepted our offer to support their organization, and has generously agreed to support the project as opportunities arise.
We’ll be accepting submissions from the public for the Bicentennial Columbus anthology (submission info) until May 25, 2012. It’s free to submit a story for consideration, and writers with work selected for publication will be compensated.
Don’t forget to visit the Columbus Historical Society (in the COSI building) for some inspiration and fact-checking as you write your historical fiction set in Columbus, Ohio.
